Melbourne nine-piece funk-soul powerhouse, The Bamboos, attracted millions of listeners globally with the winning combination of guitarist/leader Lance Ferguson and vocalist Kylie Auldist, in the track “This Girl” by Kungs Vs. Cookin’ On 3 Burners. One of 2016’s biggest chart hits, “This Girl” was a remix of a 2009 track co-written by Ferguson that should that the world was craving pop music with genuine soul.
2018 saw the announce of The Bamboos eighth studio album The Bamboos, NIGHT TIME PEOPLE which is shaping to be the record that capitalises on the runaway success of "This Girl" and bring their infectious and modern take on a timeless sound to a whole new world of listeners. Incorporating subtle electronic elements while still drawing on the band’s early soul-funk influences, The Bamboos have taken their music to another level with their winning combination that bridges the vintage with the future.
