Australia’s favourite indie rock outfit Gang Of Youths fronted by songwriter David Le’aupepe and band members Max Dunn, Jung Kim, Joji Malani and Dom Borszestowski, have thankfully showed no signs of slowing down.
Following on from their critically acclaimed album THE POSITIONS and LET ME BE CLEAR EP, Gang Of Youths released their sophomore record GO FARTHER IN LIGHTNESS. Attempting to compartmentalise the past five years into 16 tracks is no mean feat, but the band come away with songs which encourage listeners to persevere as they’ve tried to, empathising with those who’ve brushed up against death, suffering loss every step of the way.
The past 12 months have been a remarkable success for the five-piece after gracing the cover of Rolling Stone (AUS), taking out a total of four 2017 ARIA Awards including Best Group, Best Rock Album, Producer Of The Year and the prestigious Apple Music Album Of The Year. The band also recently made their US television debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers and secured three singles within the triple j ‘Hottest 100’ top 10, cementing their status as one of Australia’s leading rock bands.
Having relocated to the UK, the band have been busy playing to SOLD OUT shows throughout the US and UK.
After their electric European tour and sold out North American tour, Sydney five-piece Gang Of Youths will return home this November for their ‘Say Yes To Life Tour’ presented by Handsome Tours and triple j. The 4x ARIA Award winners will perform at intimate shows taking place in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart and Fremantle.
The PR Files is proud to work with Gang Of Youths in conjunction with Sony Music.

Shortly after its release it was added to full rotation on triple j as well as every commercial radio station in Australia, solidifying CXLOE’s position as a true star on the rise. Mixing frosty electronic textures, spare beats, and clear, emotive vocals, Norwegian singer/songwriter AURORA works is a similar dark pop milieu as artists like Oh Land, Lykke Li and Lorde. Born Aurora Aksnes, near the city of Bergen. she began writing music and lyrics at a young age, eventually releasing her debut single “Awakening” in late 2013.
Her new album A DIFFERENT KIND OF HUMAN (STEP II) released in June via Glassnote Records/AWAL, follows the huge success of her singles "Animal", “The Seed” and “The River”. The new release is the second part of last year’s surprise album of INFECTIONS OF A DIFFERENT KIND - PART 1, which sated her sprawling, fervent global fanbase, and acted as a tantalising taster to a very busy 2019 of new music and touring. "A DIFFERENT KIND OF HUMAN (STEP II)" heralds another new chapter in the story of AURORA, the left field pop musician who seemingly fell from the forests of her native Bergen with her inclusive stories of nature and nurture, love, longing and loss.
The PR Files are so proud to be working on the Australian PR for AURORA.

Blue Velvet have quickly made a name for themselves by channelling their inner goof to shape a unique, cacophonous sound. Triple J’s Declan Byrne has described it as “the type of punk that gives you a big blast of life”.
However, after making huge waves in the local scene the band’s progression saw a transition from the elements of their emo roots, into a brighter sound which leans into indie-pop more than rock. Following this evolution in 2018, Music Feeds dubbed the band “a well-fed pokemon” after releasing EP “A Lesson In Regression”. The EP saw the band supporting the likes of Luca Brasi, Dear Seattle, Turnover (US), West Thebarton & Press Club.

Beau Lightning, who previous released songs under his given name ELI, is inspired by California daze, desert surrounding the city of sin, cowboys, the moon landing and the alter ego in which Beau Lightning resides.
His debut single '“Last Night” was written and recorded entirely on his own after being given the opportunity to live in a recording on his own after being given the opportunity to live in a recording studio that a close friend and old work colleague built in his back yard. “Last Night” is the result of tinkering and experimentation, a first attempt at using real studio equipment. With some production guidance and mixing from John Broadbent, the song came into be. His music takes off their hats to bands like Queens Of The Stone Age, Arctic Monkeys and Wolfmother.
The PR Files are proud to be working with Beau Lightning!

Wagons stay atop their own tidal wave of hard-hitting, outlaw inspired, swamp rock madness, still pulsing and stomping together as a joint force, with singer Henry Wagons at the helm. Sarah Belkner is a strange and persistent musical beast. There is nothing about her career that ticks any sort of industry ‘how to’ boxes, and yet as she approaches her second album we see a creative in her 30’s building her very own little localised musical empire one brick at a time.
Throughout her career Belkner has been in hot demand for her vocal ability and skills as a keyboardist, arranger, producer, writer and touring musician playing with Australian national treasures including Sarah Blasko, OLYMPIA, Missy Higgins, Abby Dobson, Brendan Maclean, and most recently the enigmatic Tim Minchin.
Her debut album ‘But You Are, But It Has’ released in 2017 was Double J album of the week and found it’s way into the hearts of fans and critics for its subtle quirk and shimmering arrangements. At the heart of everything is always Belkner’s voice .A voice that is both soothing and powerful at the same time. This coupled with existential lyrics, musicality and passionate geekiness for the musical process is what makes her, her.
Belkner has been in the producer's seat for many local artists including Julia Johnson, Jack Colwell & Rosie Catalano. Most recently she produced and co-wrote her first full length album for another artist, Brendan Maclean’s ‘chic & bleak’, emotionally charged dance record ‘And The Boyfriends’ which charted at #2 on the Australian iTunes chart and #9 on the AIR chart.
The PR Files has had the pleasure of working on Sarah’s publicity for many years, including on her latest single “Animals” and her upcoming releases.
Made up of five independently talented and successful members who were looking for a new creative outlet; LEISURE are an anomaly in the music industry. Having amassed over 50 million streams on their debut album, which entered at #2 in the NZ charts, they have built a rabid fan following that has become the stuff of legends - in April this year they performed their debut, backed by the 72-piece Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra, to a sold-out Auckland Town Hall.
Their music has become a staple in the sync world, having collaborated with hip-hop star Goldlink, and have now signed globally to US/UK record label Nettwerk for their forthcoming album, continuing to connect with their manifesto of living the good life, and their over-riding code to “keep things LEISURE.”
The PR Files are so excited to be working with Nettwerk on LEISURE’s Australian PR!

The PR Files are so proud to be working on the Australian PR for Theia, alongside Warner Music.
